Privacy notice
How we collect, use and protect personal data when you enquire about finance or use the fundability score.

What we collect
If you use the fundability score tool, your answers stay in your browser โ nothing is transmitted to us unless you choose to email your score across, in which case we receive the answers and the contact details you send with them.
If you email or telephone us, we hold your contact details and whatever you tell us about your situation.
If your enquiry becomes a live case, we collect the information a lender needs to assess it: company and personal details, financial statements, management accounts, bank statements, and identity documents for anti-money-laundering checks.
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and operational purposes. Type on this site is set in fonts installed on your own device, and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers.
Why we are allowed to use it
Where you make an enquiry, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to it and running the business. Where we are working on your case, we rely on the steps necessary to enter into and perform a contract with you. Identity and anti-money-laundering checks are carried out to meet our legal obligations, as is the retention of records for tax and accounting purposes.
Who we share it with
To arrange finance we must share your information with lenders. We will tell you which lenders we intend to approach before we approach them, and we will not submit your case to a lender without your agreement.
We may also share information with a packaging platform we use to submit cases, with your own accountant or solicitor where you ask us to, and with our professional advisers or insurers where necessary. Lenders and credit reference agencies may record the fact of a search, which can be visible to other lenders.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not proceed are deleted within twelve months. Where a case proceeds, we keep the file for six years from the end of the engagement, which is the period we are required to retain business, tax and anti-money-laundering records.
How we protect it
Multi-factor authentication is enabled on every cloud service we use, devices use separate administrator and standard accounts, and access to case files is limited to the person handling the case.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Some of these rights are limited where we are required by law to keep records. To exercise any of them, email hello@granton.finance. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you raised it with us first so that we can put it right.
